Timothy James Leary Jr.

Timothy James Leary, Jr., age 52, of Adrian passed away March 31, 2020. Timothy was born March 15, 1968 to Timothy Leary and Sharon {Baird} Bracey. Tim’s childhood was spent in Saline. Tim resided in San Diego during his late teen years, but then returned to Michigan to be with his family. Tim was a truck driver for Smith Trucking before retiring due to health reasons. Tim enjoyed working on cars, collecting Coke items, playing dominoes and cards. Tim spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren was his favorite time of all. He helped everyone in their time of need, celebrated birthdays, and special events when he could. Tim is survived by his mother, Sharon Bracey, of Adrian, his wife Michele Leary, of Adrian his daughters Celeste Scott, of Toledo, Ohio and Leona Scott, of Adrian, his sons Curtis Scott, of Tecumseh, Brandon Scott, of Adrian and John Scott, of Toledo, Ohio, nine grandchildren, sisters Kimberley (David) Smith, of Saline, LaDawna Ross and Shannon Leary, of Garden City, brothers Raymond (Mary) Bracey II, of Brooklyn and Joe Leary, of Ypsilanti, as well as many family and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his father Timothy Leary, his step father Raymond Bracey, his step brother Vince Ross, maternal and paternal grandparents and great nephew Adam Ray Sell. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy., Adrian. Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lenawee Humane Society.
