Suzanne "Sue" Mary Belaire, age 65, of Tecumseh, passed away at home on September 12, 2021 holding her daughter Katrina's hand, while under the care of Promedica Hospice. She was born September 17, 1955 in Ypsilanti, MI the daughter of John and Edna (Wakkala) Belaire. Sue was a graduate of Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. She was retired from Ford Motor Company, Saline Plant after 30 years of service. Sue enjoyed honoring her brothers and father and who served in the United States Armed Forces with "packing parties" where she would put together care packages for active military personnel. She loved America with a passion which was displayed by her many patriotic acts. Sue loved being a grandma and adored all of her grandchildren, especially Carson who she helped raise and who will deeply miss her. She was also a huge sports fan, mostly U of M football and Detroit teams. Suzanne was a huge country music fan and especially loved Kenny Chesney and Bob Seger. She is survived by her children, Lloyd (Stefanie) Miller III, Pamela (Kenneth) Shaffer, Katrina Miller, and Steve (Melanie) Miller; grandchildren, Lloyd "Chip" Miller IV, William Miller, Celeste Miller, Carson Miller, Gia Shaffer, Blake Miller, Camryn Miller; brother Dennis (Marian) Belaire; the father of her children, Lloyd Miller, Jr.; best friend and soulmate, Pamela Merritt; and several nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Paige. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Belaire and Pete Belaire, and infant sister, Amy Belaire. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 21, 2021 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Tom Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Monday September 20, 2021 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
