Rudy Guzman

Rudy Guzman, age 45, of Archbold, OH, passed away March 24, 2020, at home under hospice, surrounded by his family & loved ones. He was born September 19, 1974, in Adrian, MI, the son of Jose "Joe" Guzman & Sophia DeLaCruz.  Rudy is survived by his son, Grabiel (Megan) Salas; grandson, Grabiel Salas, Jr.; his parents, Jose "Joe" Guzman & Sophia DeLaCruz; five sisters, Linda (Chuck) Garcia, Maria (Danielle) Guzman, Teresa (Jorge) Maldonado, twin sister, Ruby (Eric) Guzman and Josefina Guzman; two brothers, Angel (Carmen) Guzman and Jay Guzman; the love of his life, Angela Jackson; 22 nieces & nephews, 30 great nieces & nephews and numerous cousins, aunts & uncles.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Refugio & Sofia DeLaCruz, paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Flores, uncle, Rufus DeLaCruz Jr. and aunts, Andrea Flores, Christine DeLaCruz, Matilda Vasquez and Santos Garcia. "When you die, that does not mean that you lose to cancer. you beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live. So live, live. fight like hell, and when you get to tired to fight, lay down and rest, and let somebody else fight for you." 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Memorial Services will follow at 1:00 PM.
