Robert "Bob" Forbes

Robert "Bob" Forbes, age  66, of Hudson, MI, passed away, January 19, 2021.  He was born October 20, 1954, in Hudson, MI, the son of Russell & Dorothy (Bloomer) Forbes. On June 30, 1990, he married Norma Phipps, she survives.  Bob retired from Lowes in Adrian after 15 years of service. He also loved to repair small engines. Bob was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Adrian.  In addition to his wife Norma Forbes; he is survived by two daughers, Tammy (Troy) Murphy and Louise Sneyd; grandchildren, Emma, Mackenzie, Hunter, Dorothy (Jake), Gracie, Harley (Felicia), Davidson, Kaitlyn, Brantly, Connor and Seth; great granddaughter, Ava; one brother, Sam Forbes; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Melissa Forbes; one brother, John Forbes; two sisters, Janie Sheffer and Noreene Barnett; mother in law, Ellen Phipps who Bob helped care for in her final years.  Funeral Services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Scott Winstead officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
