Richard Lee Rutherford, age 70, of Tecumseh, passed away May 16, 2020 at home. Richard was born January 26, 1950 in Tecumseh the son of Robert S. and Edith (Powell) Rutherford. He was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School and served his county in the United States Air Force from 1969 - 1973. Richard loved his music playing his bass guitar and other instruments. Richard survived by his children, Michael Lolley, Michelle (Keith) Rutherford and Robert Rutherford; sisters, Patricia Cornell and Sue (Thomas) Mason; brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Rutherford and Roger (Pamela) Rutherford and grandchildren, Christopher Lolley, Kimberly Fleming and Joseph Tennant. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Ward Cornell and granddaughters, Jennifer and Kayla. At Richard's request cremation has taken place and a family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
