Ray Klotz

Ray Klotz, age 64, of Manitou Beach, MI, unexpectedly passed away, August 12, 2022, at his home. He was born June 28 1958, in Detroit, MI, the son of Raymond & Eva (Gumbis) Klotz. In 1992 he married his wife Michelle, she survives.  Ray was a 1976 graduate of Cody High School in Detroit, MI. Following his passion of working on cars he entered the automotive industry at 19 and retired from General Motors in 2004 from the Willow Run plant in Ypsilanti, MI. Throughout his life Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrenching on cars, hanging out in his garage and loved spending time with his grandkids.  In addition to his wife Michelle, Ray is survived by his father in law Thomas Schram of Hudson, MI, children; Vanessa (Darrick) Stone of Livonia, MI, Arica Hunley of Middletown, OH, Richard (Racheal) Hunley of Cement City, MI, and Shana (Steve) McAnally of Livonia, MI; eight grandchildren, Austin, Olivia, Brody, Richard, Kassian, Xavier, Zeke and Ezra; two sisters, Patricia (Earl) Cole of West Branch, MI and Carol (Tom) Jean of Troy, MI; nephews, Gregory and Jason Cole, and niece Katie Jean.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Joanne Brownell) and mother-in-law, Wanda Schram and many friends.  Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Thursday, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at J.
