Manuel Torres

Manuel Torres, 93, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully at Lenawee Medical Care Facility on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born April 27, 1928 in Laredo, Texas, to Ramon and Jesusita Torres. On October 9, 1953 he married Adelaida (Adela) Anaya. Manuel was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was a retiree of Tecumseh Products; he and Adela enjoyed ministering to local migrant workers. Manuel also ministered at the Gus Harrison Correctional Facility.  He is survived by brothers Claudio Torres, C. Manuel Torres, and Jesse Sanchez.; sisters Lydia Jasso and Rosa Dolman; daughter Teresa Hutchinson; step children Jose Lopez and Maria Dillon; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and, 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife Adelaida (Anaya) Torres; daughters Maria Manuela Torres and Felicidad Vasquez;  his son George Torres; parents Ramon and Jesusita Torres; brother Calixtro, sisters Pauline Pizana and Angie Sanchez; and step children Argie Marsh and Oscar Lopez. A memorial will take place at 10 a.m. on the 6th of December 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, followed by Mass at noon with Fr. Dan Wheeler as celebrant. Flowers may be sent to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
