James John Powers Jr., age 68, of Adrian, MI, passed away, March 9, 2023, at Lynwood Manor. He was born May 6, 1954, in Jackson, MI, the son of James Sr. & Ruth (Carlson) Powers. On February 14, 1992, he married Martha (Tyler) Powers, she preceded him in death on March 23, 2019. James was a graduate of Lumen Christi High School in Jackson, MI, where he played football all four years. James worked as a railroad installer for Conrail. He is survived by his children, Shelley (Andri) Horace of Adrian, MI, Jennifer McVay of Ruston, LA, and Mikle Lewis of Wyoming, MI; his grandchildren, Ezra Evans of Grand Rapids, MI, and Aiden Horace of Adrian, MI; and one brother, Pete Powers. In addition to his wife Martha, he was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. & Ruth Powers, one sister, Denise Powers and one brother, Dennis Powers.
