Cheryl Ann (Shepard) Perry

Cheryl Ann (Shepard) Perry,75, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away from complications of Covid-19 at her family home on November 28, 2021.  She was born March 19, 1946, the daughter of Wendell and Comfort Shepard.  Cheryl grew up in North Adams, graduated from Addison High School in 1964.  She got her certification of nursing and married the love of her life, David, in 1968. Cheryl was a nurse for several years at various Lenawee County hospitals and in home health care.  She later enjoyed working in fashion as an image consultant and as a bridal shop owner. Throughout her life, she always cared for, encouraged, and lifted others up. Cheryl was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Lakes in Addison and treasured the relationships she had there, along with Onsted TOPS and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  She also looked back fondly on her time as an Onsted Girl Scout leader and in Amway, where many valued lifelong friendships were made. Cheryl is survived by her loving spouse of 53 years, David Perry, her two children Michelle (Dennis) Rourke and David (Jennifer) and six grandchildren: Mary, James and Patrick Rourke and Alexandra, Andrew, and Matthew Perry.  She also leaves behind three brothers, Douglas Shepard, Charles Doolittle and Kevin Doolittle, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly. A celebration of life will be held at Lutheran Church of the Lakes on Sunday, December 19, at 1:00 pm.  The family will have visitation time from noon to 1:00 that same day. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lutheran Church of the Lakes, 8800 US-223, Addison, MI 49220, directed toward the “Christian Care” committee in Cheryl’s name.
