Ana Ţigu

Ana Ţigu, age 80, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 29, 2026, at Michigan Medicine.  She was born July 15, 1945, in Arad, Romania, the daughter of Gheorghe (Taica) and Maria (Maica) Şimonca.  She is survived by her ten children, Marcel, Radiana, Monica, Gabriel, Mihaela, Otniel, Steve, Lavinia, Ariela and Laura; five sons-in-law, Mircea T., Tiberiu, Alessandro, Jereamy, and Mircea O.; three daughters-in-law, Sara, Maria, and Viorica; twenty grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Isaiah, Rebecca, Steven, Alex, Mark, Cristina, David, Daniel, Matthew, Jonathan, Michael Luke, Adarah, Nathan, Olivia, Hannah, Noah, Laila, and Alyssa; three step grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua & Francesco; nine great grandchildren, Adeline, Naomi, Thomas, Abel Archie, Arrow, Charlie, Alina and Joshua; and numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gheorghe Ţigu, her seventh son, Andrei Ţigu, her first grandson, Joshua Ţigu, and her older brothers, Gheorghe (Ghiță), Petru, and Ioan (Nuţu) Şimonca, and her older sister, Lidia Micula.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway, Adrian, MI.  Burial will follow in Raisin Valley Cemetery.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
