Rudy Perez

Rudy Perez, age 79, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Adrian, MI, passed away July 9, 2019, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He was born December 22, 1939, in Blissfield, MI, the son of Basilio Jr. & Isabel (Alferez) Perez.  Rudy served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1964. He worked in masonry trade for several years. Rudy was an Evangelist, serving churches in the Dayton and Columbus area in Pastoral Care. To the dismay of his family, Rudy was a hardcore Ohio State fan.  He is survived by his children, Rudy Perez Jr. of Adrian, MI, Vivian Perez,of Houston, TX, Yabetz Cohen Perez of Beverly Hills, CA, Michael "Michelle" (Mike) Baughey of Adrian, MI, Gilbert (Donia) Perez of Adrian, MI, Duke Perez of Adrian, MI, and Nicole Perez-Farren of Dayton, OH, 32 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren, siblings, Mike Perez of Adrian, MI, Antonia "Tonia" Perez-Jimenez of Adrian, MI and Virginia "Kimo" (Tino) Madrid of Toledo, OH, several nieces and nephews and special beloved dog, Paylin of Columbus, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Basilio D. Jr. & Isabel Perez, by siblings, Eddie Perez, Gloria Rodela, Catarino Perez, Cecelia Perez, Edwardo Perez, David Perez, Arturo Perez and Maria Perez.  Visitation will be on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a prayer service to follow at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Funeral Services will be held on 11:00 AM Monday, July 15, 2019, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Pete Valdez officiating.   Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI Cemetery Military Honors performed by the Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and VFW Post #4187 Honor Guard.
