James C. Marvin

James  C. Marvin, age  91, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 15, 2019.  He was born August 9, 1927, in Waldron, MI, the son of Claude & Ida (Lett) Marvin. On November 10, 1951, he married Wilma Brockway, She survives.  James attended Waldron High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. James retired from Ace Drill in 1989 after 27 years of service. He wintered in Zephyrhills Hills, FL.  James attended the United Methodist Church.  In addition to his wife Wilma Marvin, he is survived by one son, Larry (Sandra) Marvin of Adrian, one daughter, Nancy (Paul) Mattausch of Naples, FL, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandson and one sister, Maureen Rose.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother in infancy.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 18, 2019, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Drew Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
