Genevieve Shavalier Obituary

Genevieve L. Shavalier, age 97, of Adrian, passed away November 15, 2019.Genevieve was born November 14, 1922 in Springville, Michigan the daughter of Frederick Andrew and Edith Mabel Blanch (Feller) Jessup. On December 31, 1942 she married William L. Shavalier in Adrian, and he preceded her in death. She grew up and attended school in Jackson area. In 1985 after 25 years of service she retired from Bixby Hospital. Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Lynda Stevenson of Wauseon, OH and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Shavalier; parents; sons, William and Robert Shavalier; daughter, Glenda Shorthouse; brothers, Lynn and Glen Jessup; sisters Mabel Hedberg and Hazel Laudenslager and a great granddaughter, Torilyn Contreras.. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery.
