On Thursday, November 14th, 2019, Dale Joseph Harms, loving husband and father, passed away at age 62.  “Joe” was born July 3rd, 1957 to Dale and Margaret Harms in Toledo, Ohio.  He graduated from Bowsher High School in 1975 and worked at Wayne Lumber Company, the Anderson’s and J D Norman (Leslie, MI).  On September 10th, 2011, he married Susan Hayes.  They raised 3 children, Daniel and Miranda Stutzman and Charlie Harms.  Joe was an excellent baseball player in his youth and played 3rd base and some short stop.  He would say the game has already been played out, you just have to know your part in the play.  His recollection of baseball trivia was astonishing, to say the least.  He enjoyed working out and helping other people with their work out.  He was generous with his time and patient with others.  He was an avid music fan and favored The Jimi Hendrix Experience.  He went so far as to sport the Jimi Hendrix haircut back in the 70’s, earning him the nickname “Fro”.  His presence in a room was easy to spot and his humor was outstanding.  He left dozens of “sayings” for all who knew him to use, do ya hear me screamin?  Having a beer or an ice-cold martini with Joe on any given occasion would always lead to a good time and a lasting memory.  You could be fully assured it was “goin down” when Joe and Susan were in the boardroom playing pool.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents (Dale and Marge) and brother (John).  He is survived by his wife Susan, son Charlie and siblings Diane Harms, Patricia (Mike) Harms-Andray and James (Tracy) Harms.  Also surviving are the nieces and nephews he loved so much, Elizabeth, Matt, Zach, Olivia, Maxwell, Mary and Nathan and the Harms cousins who he loved.  There will be a private celebration of Joe’s life later in the month.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charles Joseph Harms Education Fund at:  C P Federal Credit Union, 131 S.
