Thelma "Jean" (Ayers) Portice

Thelma “Jean” Portice age 79, of Britton passed away January 14, 2022. Thelma was born July 19, 1942 in Corry, Pennsylvania the daughter of Claude and Opal (Bates) Ayers. On February 16, 1962 she married Dale Portice and they were happily married for 52 years, until he passed in 2014. She enjoyed sewing, gardening with her roses, traveling with Dale and raising her four children and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending  the Ridgeway Nazarene Church and going with family to gospel concerts in the area. Jean is survived by her four children; Debra (Michael) Ewanciw, Jeffrey (Vicki) Portice, Timothy (Susan) Portice and Penny (Tom) Brown; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters In addition to her husband, Dale, she was preceded in death by her parents; 7 siblings and 1 great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held  4:00 P. M. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Ridgeway Nazarene Church, 6886 Ridge Highway, Britton, MI 49229.
