Shirley Looper

Shirley Looper, age 85, of Adrian, MI, passed away, October 11, 2021, at home. She was born February 6, 1936, in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, the daughter of William & Maggie (Shaw) Thore. On January 24, 1953, she married Leonard Looper in Wayne, MI. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2014.  Shirley loved watching cooking shows and enjoyed talking to family & friends with a cup of coffee.  She is survived by her daughter, Trina (Dennis Dynes) Johnson; her grandchildren, Tracy Howard, Coty Johnson, Kelsey Sisty, Austin Johnson, Leonard Looper and Brad Looper; eleven great granchildren; one sister, Patche Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Leonard Looper, she was preceded in death by four sons, Perry Looper, Micheal Looper, Jason Looper and Greg Looper; her parents, William & Maggie Thore; and one brother, James Thore.  Graveside Services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Corner of M-50 & M-52, Tecumseh, MI.
