Ryan William Shirley

Ryan William Shirley, 33 years old of Adrian, MI, passed away unexpectedly, September 4, 2023, in an automobile accident.  He was born on January 5, 1990, in Adrian, MI, the son of Craig and Paula (Proffitt) Shirley.  He is survived by his daughter, McKenzie Hurley; and he was  a father figure to Anacecilia LaVassaur.  He is also survived by his parents, Craig & Paula Shirley; his sister, Kelsey Shirley and his brother, Cole Shirley; his nephews, Eli,Gage,Greyson, his girlfriend Shelby Starky and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Ryan was currently employed with K & B Asphalt and Sealcoating.  He was the most fun loving life of the party kind of guy, he had a lot of lifelong friends. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, playing video games with his brother, cousins, nephews and friends. He loved playing his guitar. Ryan will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Blanche Barnett; his paternal grandparents, Roscoe and Sylvia Shirley; his maternal great grandparents, James and Addie Proffitt; and paternal great grandparents, Roscoe Sr and Edith Shirley.   Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at J.
