Rose Mary Atkinson

Rose Mary Atkinson, age 76, of Charlotte, MI, passed away, July 14, 2023, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI. She was born January 28, 1947, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Guadelupe Galindo. Rose Mary was raised by the Galindo / Sarabia family. On July 10, 1982, she married George Atkinson in Adrian, MI. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008.  Rose Mary was retired from the Salvation Army Store in Adrian. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Church in Adrian, MI where she loved worshiping The Lord Jesus Christ. Rose Mary enjoyed crafts, puzzles, coloring, traveling and family gatherings.  She is survived by three daughters, Alba (David) Pena, Sandra (Steven) Reyna and Bebee (Ray) Rouston; two step-daughters, Laura Atkinson and Vicki Atkinson; thirteen grandchildren, Carlos Mota, Erika Mota, Alysia Galindo, Timothy Galindo Jr., Sierra (Daniel) Green, Stevie (Barbara) Reyna, Johnny Reyna, Jonathan Reyna, Michael (Kirstin) Sarabia, Daniel (Angie) Sarabia, Stephanie (Paul) Torres, Devin Routson; twenty great grandchildren; her siblings, Abraham (Dianne) Galnares, David Galnares, Annita (Jess) Aranda, Jose (Carol) Galnares and Ruben Galnares; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband George, she was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Galindo; one son, Tim Galindo Sr.; and great grandson, Niko.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. David Pena officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills memorial Park, Adrian, MI.
