Ronald "Ron" Ernest Maschino

Ronald "Ron" Ernest Maschino, age 88, of Britton, passed away October 12, 2020. He was born November 22, 1931, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of Ernest and Alice (Hartsell) Maschino. On February 10, 1951, he married Dora Mae Tiede in Angola, IN and she survives. He was a graduate of Britton-Macon High School, Class of 1950. Ron was a master electrician with Tecumseh Products Company, retiring with 42 years of service. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palmyra, where he sang in the choir. Ron was also active at Immanuel Lutheran Church playing on their dartball and softball teams. His main hobby was spending time with his family and loved playing volleyball at family gatherings. In addition to his wife Dora Mae, Ron is survived by his six children, Rebekah Maschino; Deborah (Charles) Schmidt, Vickie Porter, Mark (Sheri) Maschino, Cindie Maschino, and Tammie (Kent) Sanderson; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley Jackson, Marilyn Reynolds, Karen Brockman, and Janice Maschino; and brother Donald Maschino. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palmyra, with Rev. Joshua Rinas and Rev. James Schenck officiating. Final resting place will be at Ridgeway Cemetery.  Visitation will also take place on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service.
