Robert W. "Bob" McTaggart

Robert W. "Bob" McTaggart, Sr., age 86, of Palmyra, MI, passed away, July 12, 2023, at home with his family. He was born October 23, 1936, in Saline, MI, the son of William & Alice (Trout) McTaggart. On August 12, 1961, he married Joyce VanValkenburg, she preceded him in death on January 28, 2023.  Bob was a graduate of Saline High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bob was a dairy farmer for many years and also worked construction. Bob enjoyed gardening, farming, traveling and going to auctions.  He is survived by two sons, Rob (Sherry) McTaggart and Todd McTaggart; his grandchildren, Stacy, Meghan, Randy, Ryan, Rebecca, Charity, Isaac, Danielle, Jessica, Jennifer, David, Bradley and Loren; 24 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Lois McCall, Louie (Wyketia) McTaggart, Ruth Summerlin, Alice (Pete) Blain and David McTaggart; and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by her parents, William & Alice McTaggart; one son, Brad McTaggart; two brothers, Earl McTaggart and Harold "Butch" McTaggart; and one sister, Helen Eaton.  A Celebration of Life will be held, 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the home of Rob & Sherry, 5548 Centennial Rd, Tecumseh, MI 49286.  Arrangements with J.
