Nicholas John "Pops" Wright

Nicholas John “Pops” Wright   It is with profound sadness that the family of Nicholas “Pops” Wright announce his death on July 25, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 65 years old.  Son of Albert and Audrey Wright, Nicholas was born in Detroit on January 28, 1958.  He attended Churchill High School in Livonia and married his high school sweetheart, Kellie Hausmann on April 8, 1978 at Timothy Lutheran Church. He was a loyal employee of General Motors for almost 30 years.   He is preceded in death by his parents.  Known by many, Nick leaves a considerable void in the community in which he was loved and appreciated. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.   Loving, charismatic, generously big hearted, and stubborn, Nick especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a passion for motorcycles.  Left to cherish their memories are his devoted wife, Kellie of 45 years; son, Jasin Wright and his wife, Stephanie of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; daughter, Crystal Wright of Adrian; grandson, Trentyn Fox of Adrian with whom he shared a close and special bond.   He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Basharrah and her husband, Mike of Milford; niece, Jennifer Perry and her husband, Sam and children.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at J Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Earl Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Monday July 31, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J.
