Mary L. Valdez

Mary L. Valdez, age 79, of Adrian, MI, passed away September 21, 2021, at Toledo Hospital. She was born August 19, 1942, in Shepherd, MI, the daughter of Vicente & Belen (Ramirez) Valdez.  Mary is survived by her children, Jose (Leslie) Olivarez, Francisco (Patricia) Olivarez, Angelina Olivarez, Olivia (Jessie) Orosco, Abel (Gina) Valdez, Christina (Mark) Bernard and Suzzanna Olivarez; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; her siblings, Julio Valdez, Manuel Valdez, Patty Ruiz Martinez and Rosa (Duane) Baugh; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente & Belen Valdez; husband, Jose Olivarez; son, Benito Olivarez; two grandsons, Jamie Goble and Matthew Olivarez; three brothers, Vicente Valdez, Leopoldo Valdez and Guadalupe Valdez; and one sister, Sapopa Moreno.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM at J.
