Mary Ann Murday

Mary Ann Murday, age 72, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 14, 2023, at home surrounded by her loved ones under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born July 8, 1950, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Clarence & Mary (Burgett) Gehring. On October 24, 1970, she married Bill Murday in Adrian, MI. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2007.  In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Bob Murday and Rick Murday; one daughter, Sheila Murday; seven brothers, Lynford, Louis, Norm, Chris, Howard, Richard and Clarence Jr.; three sisters, Jeanetta, Wanda and Alice; and great granddaughter, Myrakl.  Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Ryan) Smith of Tecumseh, one son, Randy (Dawn) Murday of Adrian; her grandchildren, Nakisha, Kaeleen, Shawna, Alayna, Heather, Terra, Kevin, Carter and Zachary; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald and James; and her best friend, Dontae; along with many nieces nephews and cousins.  She enjoyed watching her grandson race at Oakshade Raceway, watching her wrestling, spending time with her family and most of all ambulance chasing with sister in law, Ann Gehring. Mary Ann worked at Tecumseh Products Co. and Campbell Soup in the late 70's. She also worked as a car porter for Bill Vreeland Auto Sales.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 16, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Chaplain Gail Bluhm officiating. Burial will follow in East Rome Cemetery. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J.
