Larre E. "Buck" Haskell

Larre Eugene Haskell, age 83, of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully June 4 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Adrian, MI.  Larre was married to Doris Wilson from 1959 to 1982.  He was married to Ozenna Lolley from 1982 to 2004.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion & Jane (Merrill) Haskell and sister, Bette Jean Haskell.  He is survived by his fiance, Janet M. Thompson and favorite dog & buddy, Benji; sons, Greg (Sydney) Haskell of Billings, MT and Garre (Stephanie) Haskell of Oberlin, OH; daughter, Kelle (Rod) Carver of Adrian, MI, Marlena Rausch of Parma, OH and Marnie Hunt of Florida; grandchildren, Shane (Lisa) Wilson, Sarah (Brandon) Frederick-Reed, Zac (Rachel) Carver, Elizabeth (Josh) Namyslowski, Heather (Mikael) Baughey, Aaron (Christina) Sincoski and Christopher (Athena) Elliott; he was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren with one the way.  He was a graduate of Adrian High School.  He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Polar Division in Kenai, Alaska.  As a motorcycle enthusiast  and life long rider he was a member of GWRRA, Christian Motorcyclists Association and Maple City Wingers.  Larre worked with his dad and was co-owner of Haskell Insurance Company.  He was a member of the New Hope Tabernacle, Turning Point Church and Clayton Bible Church for several years and found joy in his faith and personal relationship with God.  Larre and Jan spent many years enjoying each others company, gospel music and church choirs. He was Citizen of the Year in Lenawee County in 2006. He was a proud member of AA and his proudest personal achievement was not only his 36 years of sobriety, but also helping countless others with their own.   Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  (WATCH LIVE LINK)  Military Honors will be performed by the Tecumseh American Legion & VFW Honor Guard.  A Luncheon will follow at Bethany Assembly of God Church and those attending please bring a dish to pass.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at J.
