James Alan Chanady

James Alan Chanady, age 66, of Tecumseh, passed away September 5, 2020. James was born May 10, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Don and Sadie Chanady.  On February 11, 2020 he married Paula Brand in Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives. Jim was a loving husband - devoted son and father who was looking forward to spending his retirement with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.  He devoted 48 years of his life to Ford Motor Co. and never got to enjoy life after working all those years.  Jim will be forever loved and greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Paula, Jim is survived by his mother, Sadie; daughters, Nicole (Steve), Chelsea, Leah and Lacey; sons Jim (Danielle) and Scott (Amanda) and 15 grandchildren.  Jim is also survived by many friends - special friends and great neighbors,  Jim and Jeannie Wells. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Chanady and best friend, Bob. A memorial gathering will be 2:00 to 5:00 P. M. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place
