Howard Louis Embry, age 66, of Albion, MI, passed away, February 11, 2020. Howard was born November 8, 1953, in Albion, MI to Earnest & Gladys Embry. Howard attended Albion Public Schools and shortly after he spent much of his adult life in Detroit, MI, until he returned to Albion, MI in 2014. At a young age Howard was employed at Albion Home Laundry Cleaning Services and Hayes Albion. During his residency in Detroit, MI he worked for the Detroit Police Department providing clening services until health complications prevented him to further work and relocated back to Albion. Howard attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later joined and was baptized by Pastor Mike Betzol of Marshall, MI in October 2017. Howard loved spending time with his family playing his favorite game "Chess" and cards which he was determined no one could beat him. He loved Baby Harlym, Ivan Green II and Gianna Faunz, just to see their faces made him happy and brought a smile upon his face. He will be deeply missed. He leaves to cherish his memory to his loving mother, Gladys Embry of Albion, MI, three sisters, Hattie Embry of Albion, MI, Joylette (Walter) Isaac of Jackson, MI, and Satinya Vandam of Detroit, MI, one brother, Bruce Embry of Carson City, MI, special aunt, Annie Ruth Newton of Albion, MI, two uncles, Ulyses (Bernice) Embry of Lansing, MI and Robert Fletcher of Romulus, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Embry, sister, Ernestine Pearson, brother, Ernest Lee Embry, six aunts, Ethel Waites, Jerry Doll Embry, Rosilee Embry, Rosielee Williams, Martha, Beulah Harris Phillips and uncle, Louis Stockdale. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Grace Temple Church, 711 Grace Street, Albion, MI, with Pastor Stephen C. Williams officiating. Cremation will follow.
