Gillis Lee Price, Jr.

Gillis Lee Price, Jr., age 33, of Monroe, MI, passed away, August 15, 2023.  He was born August 30, 1989, in Toledo, OH, the son of Reaha Church & Gillis Lee Price Sr.  Gillis adored his family very much. He would do anything for them. Gillis was lovable, happy, helpful and kind. He brought joy to everyone he could. Gillis loved music of all sorts for hours. He loved playing guitar & teaching others to play it. He loved to sing and draw. He was very talented. Gillis was always happiest when playing his music. Gillis always brought joy and happiness anywhere he went. He loved all his family, especially his nephews & nieces. He was proud of them all.  Gillis is survived by his mother, Reaha Church; three sisters, Teri (James) Sirdan, Karen (Bryce) Revard and Angel Price (Cody Raines); one brother, Bruce Hardy; seven nephews, Austin, Dominick, Ethyan, Wyatt, Mikey, Kody & Connor; three nieces, Danielle, Charlee & Willow; his aunt, April Price; cousin, Bill Price; and many more aunts, uncles & cousins he adored; and his crew, Lil Bill, Jacob, Eddie, Eric & RJ.  He was preceded in death his father, Gillis Lee Price, Sr,; one brother, Robert Church; his grandparents, Ruthann Evans, William Sharpe, Irene Price and Gillis Carey; three uncles, Rick, Bill & Eddie; and three aunts; JoJo, Sharon & Rebecca. Gillis loved so many people and so many people loved him.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N.
