Daniel G. Borkowicz

Daniel Borkowicz left us on Monday, April 10, 2023.  He was born March 12, 1944, the son of Chester & Charlotte (Dankowski) Borkowicz, in Chicago, IL.  On November 5, 1966, Dan married the love of his life, Denise Wojcik, in Niles, IL.  Dan spent his entire career in the door & hardware business and enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge while teaching the next generation while managing to put many professional credentials behind his name.  Dan was a supporter of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs plus truly a fan of “Superdawg” hotdogs.  He enjoyed a challenging game of golf, continued his bowling, and loved cutting his grass with his tractor.  At a young age, Dan joined the Knights of Columbus and faithfully continued his journey to Past Navigator of 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.  In addition to his wife Denise Borkowicz, Dan is survived by three sons, Jeffery (Jeanine) Borkowicz of Antioch, IL, Brian (Michelle) Borkowicz of Geneva, IL, and Peter Borkowicz of Joppa, MD; brothers, Paul Borkowicz of Pingree Grove, IL, and Ralph (Candace) Borkowicz of Glenview, IL; and six wonderful grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law, Susan Borkowicz.  Dan would like memories of him to be one full of smiles and happy times.  Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Deacon Leonard Brown presiding.  Visitation will also be on Saturday May 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Daniel’s name.   Arrangements with J.
