Charles R. Aebersold age 94, of Brooklyn, MI passed away September 10, 2022 peacefully at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. He was born in Tecumseh, MI October 4, 1927 to Clarence & Sarah (Boyd) Aebersold.
He lived his entire life in Tecumseh until recently moving to Brooklyn to be cared for by his granddaughter Tara & Ross Trumble’s family where he was wonderfully cared for and surrounded by many of his cherished grandchildren, who brought such joy to his last several months.
After graduation from Tecumseh High School in 1945 he was drafted into the Army Air Force, serving 1945-47. Upon returning from the service he married Ethel (Rohn) Aebersold on October 4, 1947. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2021 shortly after celebrating 74 years of marriage.
Charles worked for The Tecumseh Products Company for 40 years before retiring in 1989.
Through the years he enjoyed antiquing, woodworking, farming and gardening. Dad loved family gatherings the most & cherished his family. He was a man of integrity & taught us lessons till the end.
Surviving Charles is daughter, Cheryl Aebersold; son Carl (Carol) Aebersold; granddaughters, Tara (Ross) Trumble and Sarah Aebersold; grandson, Kevin Shultis; great grandchildren, Emily (Alicia) Trumble, Makala (Reid Couling) Trumble, Holden (Jessica Prajzner) Trumble, Kym, Paige, Lily & Jack Trumble; great-great grandchildren, Aubree & Blaine, Bentley, Oaklee & one arriving in Dec. Couling & Kaden Trumble; several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Sarah; wife, Ethel; siblings, Raymond, Leslie, Dale, Marion, Doris & Donald; daughter Patricia Shultis & grandson Scott Charles Shultis.

Graveside service for Charles and Ethel will take place September 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Cemetery with Pastor Doug Chandler.
