Catherine Ann Scott

Catherine Ann Scott, age 74, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away, November 19, 2022, at Cambrian Senior Living surrounded by her family. She was born September 1, 1948, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Mitchell & Stella (Skawski) Podbielski. On August 16, 1975, she married the love of her life, Joseph Scott, he preceded her in death.  Catherine was a devoted and faithful wife of forty-seven years. She had various secretarial and administrative roles at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, St. Joseph Shine Church in Irish Hills, Tecumseh Public Schools, and Boysville of Michigan. Catherine loved painting and other forms of art. She was very devoted to her family and especially loved her nine grandchildren. Catherine was a very loving, caring, and compassionate person. She is survived by three daughters, Sally (Andrew) Greenham, Heather (Anthony) Russo and Brooke (Shawn) Cuthbert; nine grandchildren, Alex, Mitch, Anna, David, Lexi, Addison, Autumn, Emily and Shawna; one brother, Mark (Eva) Podbielski; and two nieces, Courtney and Ashley.  In addition to her husband Joseph Scott, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell & Stella Podbielski.  Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 506 N. Union Street, Tecumseh, MI, with Fr. Daniel Wheeler presiding. Catherine will lie in state at St. Elizabeth on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass. A luncheon will be held at the St. Elizabeth Parish Hall following the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brooke Cuthbert to be used for the caring staff at Cambrian Memory Care. Arrangements are under the direction of J.
