Carroll Homer Hawkins

Carroll Homer Hawkins. age 81 of Tecumseh, MI entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 22, 2022 with his family by his side. Carroll was born September 17, 1940 in Wauseon, Ohio the son of Delbert and Juanita (Hayford) Hawkins. On Nov 26, 1960 in Ridgeway, MI he married the love of his life Susan Spreeman and she survives. Carroll went to Tecumseh High School Class of 1958.  After school he joined the United States Navy from 1958 - 1961 where he served on the USS Searcher.  After the Navy while working with Ford Motor Company Rawsonville he attended Washtenaw Community College getting his Journeyman degree. In his spare time he loved fishing, working on trucks and cars, being a Prison Ministry Volunteer, teaching Sunday School classes, mowing lawns, but most of all spending time with his family making memories. Carroll loved to study the Bible and worship the Lord. You could always find him helping those in need. Carroll is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Jim (Irene) Hawkins of Tecumseh, Daniel Hawkins of Novi, Michael (Julie) Hawkins of Tecumseh, Thomas (Deborah) Hawkins of Wellsville, PA, Angela Lea (Michael) Harriott, Britton; eight grandchildren, James (Gloria) Hawkins, Nathanial Hawkins, Christopher Hawkins, Alysha Hawkins, Rachel (Andrew) Hamrick, Seth Hawkins, Lauralea (Grayson) Bond, Ryan Harriott; 4 great grandchildren, Evelyn and Nathan Hawkins, Kyleigh and Ellori Harriott; siblings, Faye Gamboe and Delbert (Jeannie) Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Juanita Hawkins; sister, Sharon Trudgeon and step-father Lester Truesdell. A Memorial Service in honor of Carroll will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11:30 A.M.  at Blissfield Baptist Church 717 N. Monroe St, Blissfield, MI 49228. Visitation will take place at 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
