Amber Jo Thomas

Amber Jo Thomas, age 40, of Adrian, MI, passed away, August 3, 2023 at University of Michigan Hospital. She was born January 22, 1983, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of James LaVerne II & Kathy Jo Thomas.  Amber was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 2001. She loved gardening, planting flowers and her dogs (fur babies). Amber also enjoyed being on the lake, going camping and sitting around a bonfire with her family & friends. She was currently working at Linden Square Assisted Living in Saline, MI and was dearly loved by all the residents. Amber is survived by her mother, Kathy Jo Thomas; her son, Mason Wade Richmond; three brothers, Allen (Ginger Fletcher) Thomas, Joshua (Shelly) Thomas and her twin brother, James LaVern (Kim) Thomas; her aunts, Candis (Dan) Strine and Helen Davis; along with numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Amber is also survived by a special group of friends that she had had since high school. She was preceded in death by her father, James LaVerne Thomas II and all of her grandparents. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI with Rev. Richard Mortimer officiating.
