Robert L. Thornton, Sr,

Age 82, recently of Tipton, died September 29, 2008
at Lenawee Medical Care Facility, Adrian. He was born in Hibbing, MN, on June 24, 1926 and lived there until moving to Michgan three years ago. He married Frances Marincel of Mt. Iron, MN on June 19, 1954, who survives him.
He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and a life-long member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Hibbing and recently a member of St. Elizabeth's Parish in Tecumseh.
 

Robert is survived by his children, Robert Jr. (Rosemary) of Ypsilanti, Michael (Vicki) of Portland, Oregon, Jean Kailser (David) of Tipton, Timothy (Dorothea) of Ann Arbor, Thomas of Federal Way, Washington, Mark (Kara) of St. Paul, MN and Brian (Kara) of Monticello, MN. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.
Visitation will also be on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh,
from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass.
