Age 85, of Tecumseh, formerly of Britton passed away peacefully October 2, 2009, at Bixby Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Katey was born December 13, 1923 in Milan, Michigan the daughter of Eugene and Letha (Raymond) Olds. On September 8, 1945 she married Henry F. Mastie, in Ann Arbor and he preceded her in death December 9, 2008.  Katey was a member of the Britton American Legion Auxiliary, Britton Congregational Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed her Wednesday luncheons with the Michigan/Florida ladies. Katey also enjoyed 29 happy, wonderful winters at Gulf-To-Bay in Englewood, FL, enjoying the beach, friends and the Lock and Key restaurant.  Katey is survived by her children, Ronald H. (Judy) Mastie of North Port, FL, Dennis Mastie of Alexandria, VA and Barbara (Tony) Nykodym of Monroe, MI; grandchildren, Michelle (Nelson) Glowacki, Mark (Katie) Mastie, Angela (Joe'l) Marshall; Zachary Nykodym, Dennis Jr. and Daniel Mastie; great grandchildren, Molly and Madolin Glowacki and Jarell and Akylah Marshall; sister, Marge Haas and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by her parents.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Monday, October 5, 2009 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with the Rev. David Welcome and Rev. Richard Bruce officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 P, M. - 7:00 P. M. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
