William John Gossman III, age 71, of Onsted, MI, passed away, January 11, 2017. He was born March 19, 1945, in Detroit, MI, the son of William John & Margaret Pearl (White) Gossman. On February 3, 1967, he married Judith Olszewski, she survives. William entered the U.S. Army in 1967 and served overseas in Germany. He then served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1973. William started his career at Ford Motor Company in August of 1964 and retired from the Ford Rawsonville Plant in August of 1999. Bill belonged to Lansing American Legion and the Knights of Columbus in Garden City, MI. In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Dusing, William L. (Melissa) Gossman, Raymond Gossman, Sean Gossman, Chad Gossman, Amy Gossman, Robert Gossman and Rebecca Gossman, four grandchildren, Kaela, Gwendolyn, Thomas and Paras, one sister, Gloria (Frank) Simkins and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy (M-52) Adrian, MI, with Fr. Dan Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI, with Military Honors performed by the Michigan Army National Guard.
