Walter A. Denny

Walter A. Denny, of Adrian, passed away on January 29, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born to Frank and Anna Dolistowski in Lawrence, Pennsylvania, on December 2, 1918.  On Novermber 6, 1954, he married Nelie (Josephine) Rohr in Detroit, Michigan.  Walter was a graduate of the Detroit Institute of Technology and a member of the Society of Professional Engineers until his retirement from the Charles A. Strand Company in Detroit. Walter is survived by his wife, Nelie (Jo); daughters, Diane Denny, Kim Denny, and Anita Gibbs, all of Adrian; grandsons Christopher (Belen) Strehl of Lake Steven, WA, and Jeremy Strehl; and great grandsons, Bryce and Devin Strehl. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Denny; parents, Frank and Anna Dolistowski; brother, Frank Denny; and son-in-law, Teri Gibbs. Cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony will be held at Ridgeway Cemetery.There will be a memorial Mass  at 12:00 pm on February 6, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 415 Ormsby Street, Adrian, MI., with Father Anthony Strouse officiating. Memorials may be made directly to the family.
