Tomas R. Hernandez

Tomas R. Hernandez, Sr., age 93, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 10, 2016.  He was born December 22, 1922, in Eagle Pass, Texas, the son of Eulalio & Juanita (Rodriguez) Hernandez. Tomas was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma Hernandez, his daughter, Janie Hernandez, son, Larry Hernandez, his sister, Rachel Coronado, granddaughter, Sylvia Torres, grandson Frankie Avila and great grandson, James Welsh.  He is survived by his three daughters, Betty (Miguel) Burciaga, Rosalie (Santiago) Torres and Carmen Hernandez, one son, Thomas Hernandez, Jr. and many loving grandchildren.  Tomas served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2016, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park. Mililtary Honors will be performed by the Michigan Army National Guard Honor Gaurd.    Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2016, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the J.
