Sandra L. Schmidt

Sandra L. Schmidt, age 72, of Manchester, MI, passed away, February 23, 2015.  She was born July 22, 1942, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Fred & Dorothy (Holmes) Lewis.  On March 19, 1960, she married Allen Schmidt in Detroit, MI.  He survives.  Sandra enjoyed breeding horses and dogs.  She loved spending time with her family and on her farm.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Laurie Ruether Casey.  In addition to her husband Allen, she is survived by her daughter Lisa (William) Curry and her grandchildren, Amanda (Taylor) Dixon, Megan Ruether Steele, Matthew Curry, Andrew Curry, Tammy Casey, Angel Casey and Savanah Casey and two sisters, Donna (Richard) Bargowski and Paula (James) Gecsei.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Deacon John Liddle officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J.
