Robert R. Engler, age 82, of Weston, MI, passed away, May 5, 2017, at the Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home. He was born November 23, 1934, in Toledo, OH, the son of John & Louise (Beaudry) Engler. On February 7, 1969, he married Mary Nelson she survives. Robert served his country in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. He retired from General Motors of Adrian on September 1, 1999. In addition to his wife Mary Engler, he is survived by his children, Louise Fulco, Kathy-O Sanicola, Phillip Engler, Glenn Engler and Paul (Kerri) Engler, twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, one brother, John Jacob (Jane) Engler and one sister, Loretta Ballard. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Bobby Engler and Raymond Engler, one daughter, Mary E. Engler, one sister, Helen Harmon and one brother, James E. Engler. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Weston Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the US Air Force Honor Guard - Wright Patterson AFB. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM the J.
