Richard Allen Tressler, Sr.

Richard Allen Tressler, Sr., age 53, of Tecumseh, formerly of Adrian, passed away August 30, 2015.  Richard was born November 7, 1961 in Wauseon, Ohio the son of James and Elsie (Wright) Tressler.  He married Jean Welch in September 21, 2013 after spending 20 years together.  She survives.  He held various jobs throughout his life, most recently being Hoit Cleaning Services.  He loved working on models, fishing with hi bset friend, Wes, collecting dragons and spending quality time with his family, especially his 26 grandchildren.  He was a huge Ohio State fan.  He loved playing Scooby Doo monopoly with his stepson, Richie Barber and grandsons, Luke and Ethan.  In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Crystal Tressler, Richard Tressler II, Nathan (Kristen) Tressler, Joe Barber, Jr., Jason (Heidi) Barber, Heather (Kyle Baker) Barber, Richie (Tricia) Barber; two honorary daughters, Mindy Tressler and Sara Tuckerman; daughter in law, Crystal Ables (Rob); 26 grandchildren; siblings, Robbie Tressler, Margaret (John) Sysol and Barb Thomas and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father; grandson and sister in law.  He will be greatly missed by many, but especially his  beloved dog, Rosie.  The family wishes to thank Hospice of Lenawee for the loving support and care during his final days and a special thank you to his daughter in law , Heidi Barber for caring for him and enabling him to stay home during his final days.  Memorial services will be 7:00 P. M. Thursday September 3, 2015 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian  with Chaplain Debi Humphreys officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 P. M.
