Richard Anthony Johnson

Richard Anthony Johnson, age 52, of Dundee, passed away February 8, 2016. Rich was born December 18, 1963 in Monroe, Mi the son of Robert and Elaine (Sewczyk)  Johnson.  He was a 1982 graduate of Dundee High school and went on to attend MCCC and the U of T.  He was an avid sportsman lettering in golf, baseball and basketball while in high school.  Rich was a member of the Dundee Golf Club and a past club champion.  His enjoyments were harness racing, casino trips, being with friends  and watching Pittsburgh Steeler games.  For the last 10 years he devoted his life to being a caregiver for his parents.  Rich is survived by his son,  Christopher and  daughter, Catherine; companion, Nicole Sterling and her daughter, Madison; sisters, Dr. Pat (Ted) Mattevi, Sue (Dick) Henning and Robin Smith; brother, William (Mira) Johnson and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. At his request, cremation has taken place. There will be no public viewing or services.  Memorials in his name may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Ataxia Foundation.
