Reo I. Suydam, age 85, of Adrian, MI, passed away, May 23, 2017. She was born April 12, 1932, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of John & Iona (Hale) Melville. On January 8,1953, she married Ivan "Ike" Suydam, Jr., he preceded her in death on October 5, 2011. Reo was a longtime member of the VFW Post 1584 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family dearly. Reo is survived by her children, Michael (Debra) Suydam of Adrian, Terry Suydam of Tecumseh and Debra (Ron) Pickford of Rome Center, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Ike, she was preceded in death, her parents, a brother in infancy and daughter in law, Susan Dangler Suydam. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
