Patrick David Timms

Patrick David Timms passed away in the loving company of his family Friday, July 22 at the University of Michigan Hospital.  Born January 16, 1953 at Addison, Michigan, he was preceded in his passing by his mother Joan Jenkins and his father John C. Timms.  He is survived by the loves of his life his daughters Jolyn Berrien (Kevin) of Portland, Oregon, Morgan Timms (Nickolas Amador) of Adrian, his granddaughter Ava Berrien as well as his brother J. Michael Timms (Pam Anderson) of Brooklyn, Michigan, his sister M. Kathleen Timms of Adrian, his nephew Scott Timms of Seal Beach, California, his nieces Jessica Eva (Brian) of Jackson and Sarah Kitchen (Carlos) of Farmington Hills, Michigan and four grandnephews. Patrick was a graduate of Hudson Area High School where he was a member of the National Record breaking Hudson Tiger football teams. He worked primarily in the food service industry including the Devils Lake Yacht Club and, most recently, Firekeepers Casino of Marshall, Michigan.  One of his great loves, besides  being with people, was traveling to various sports venues, most often involving professional hockey and football teams.  His passion took him far and wide across both the USA and Canada, from the Forum in Montreal and the Boston Garden to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Lambeau Field in Green Bay and the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles.  His greatest passion, though,  was people. He had a nickname for everyone with whom he had regular contact..  No one was more caring, giving or honest.  He is greatly missed by his family, his friends, his coworkers and everyone he touched. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2016, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy (M-52) Adrian, MI.  Visitation will also be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
