Nevajean McGuffey

Nevajean  McGuffey, age 79, of Tipton, MI, went to her Heavenly Home on, April 24, 2018.  Nevajean was born March 6, 1939, in Livingston, TN.  She is the daughter of Basil & Ima (Bilbrey) Farmer.  She married Daniel McGuffey on May 28, 1971.  He preceded her in death on August 4, 2015, after 44 years of marriage.  Nevajean loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed reading, baking, watching her favorite TV shows and laughter.   Nevajean will be remembered for her sarcasm & sass, her handwritten letters and always remembering her loved ones with special cards.  Nevajean is survived by her three sons, Brian (Betty) Holcomb of Battle Creek, MI, Jeff (Georgia) Holcomb of Bellevue, MI and Greg (Laura) Holcomb of St. Petersburg, FL, two daughters, Deanna (Lando) Franco of Odessa, TX and Dawn (Stanley) Beeson of Adrian, MI, one step daughter, Denise, three brothers, Robert (Pat) Farmer of Rockledge, FL, Ron (Dian) Farmer of Rockledge, FL and Michael (Donna) Farmer of Moultrie, GA, one sister, Anna Adkins of Valdosta, GA, one brother in law, David (Chris) McGuffey of Battle Creek, MI and one sister in law, Kay Seaman of Battle Creek, MI, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Magdalene Willoughby.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI.  Visitation will be on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the J.
