Matthew J. DePew, age 50, of Adrian, MI, passed away, July 24, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born April 5, 1965, in Auburn, IN, the son of Daniel & Mary Lee (Lange) DePew. On December 21, 2001, he married Donna Stewart, she survives. Matt enjoyed camping, bonfires, cooking and barbecuing with his family. He was a loving & caring person and enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with his granddaughters. Matt was employed with Republic Waste Services for over 16 years. In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by his parents, his children; Autumn (Scott) Smith, Josh Morrow, Ryan Stewart and Matthew DePew, Jr., his granddaughters, Lexus, Haley, Madison, Kayla, Layna, Ranae, Macie, Audrey and Lyla, his siblings, Stephanie (Kent) Deatrick, Dan DePew (John Koteles) and Diana Tiede (Tony Guerreso) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Wendy DePew, granddaughter, Olivia Morrow and his grandparents. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI. Visitation will be on Monday, July 27, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
