Mary Richmond Peck

Mary Richmond Peck passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, surrounded by her family at Hospice Home of Lenawee.  Mary was born on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1924, the daughter of James and Edna Richmond. She was married to Van E. Peck, April 10, 1945, at the First Methodist Church located on the corner of East Maumee and Broad Street. They had four children, Daniel Peck (Susie), Barbara Peck Kay (Charles), Brad Peck (JoAnn) and Marjorie Peck Malinowski (Dennis).  Mary graduated from Adrian High School, class of 1943. She belonged to the Adrian Garden Club and attended the Christian Science Church. She had a childcare center on Riverside Avenue for more than 30 years, and then worked at Kline’s Dept. Store.  Mary has 10 beloved grandchildren and their families, Caleb Peck (Amy), Charity Peck (William), Brian Kay (Isabel), David Kay (Lisa), Melanie Kay Shaw (Josh), Amy Brennan Buren (John), Christy Brennan Ebbert (Eric), Alicia Malinowski DeCarolis (Gianni), Nathan Malinowsl (Karl), Van Thomas Malinowski (Vaughan). Mary also has 25 great-grandchildren.  Mary is survived by her brothers, James T. Richmond, Manitou Beach, Mich.; David Richmond, Versailles, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Carol Richmond Day, Louisburg, N.C.  Mary will be greatly missed by her warm family, friends and bridge buddies.
