Marian Cecile (Pearson) Knofski

Marian Cecile Knofski, age 78, of Kingsley and Romulus, MI, passed away May 27, 2016 at Cambrian Memory Care, Tecumseh. MI.  Marian was born July 2, 1937 in Hillsdale, Michigan the daughter of William and Donna (Russell) Pearson.  On May 20, 1954 she married Frederick Knofski at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Belleville, MI. She was a loving wife; mother; grandmother and great grandmother.Marian was a member of the Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Traverse City, MI. For 19 years she drove bus for the Romulus and Traverse City Schools. Marian is survived by her husband, Frederick; children, Frederick, Jr. (Cindy) of Westland, Diane Milligan of Jackson, Henry of Hartland and Laurie (Lee) Smither of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and brother, William Pearson, Jr. of Romulus. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; a grandchild and a great grandchild. Funeral Services and entombment will be 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, June 1, 2016  at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, Michigan. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 P. M.  Tuesday, May 31, 2016  and 10:00 A. M. -  12:00 P. M.  (noon ) Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
