Manuela Regalado

Manuela  Regalado, age 81, of Adrian, MI, passed away at home on April 12, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born July 25, 1935, in Sanderson, Texas, the daughter of Joseph & Emma (Foster) Salazar. On August 28, 1954, she married Guadalupe Regalado, he preceded her in death on April 2, 2013.  Our mother was the joy of our lives. She was broken hearted after our dad died but she kept dancing. She used to love to sing while dad played the guitar. She loved to entertain. She worked at Adrian College and was a Dear Abby to most of the kids there. She loved to go to Rodeos to watch my dad and brother win there weekly blue ribbons and trophy. Then to Luna Pier they would go dancing with friends, they sure loved that. Now they are in Heaven Dancing in the Stars. She will miss the great grand kids and great great grand kids, but she will be watching over them you can be sure.  She is survived by her three children, Anthony (Bronda) Regalado, Mary Ann (Michael) D'Loughy and Kathy Regalado, five grandchildren, Holly (Tommy Burgess), Tatum (Denny Reagan), A.J., Alexis and Samantha, four great grandchildren, Jazmin (Isaias Contreras), Liam, Haidyn, Jaelynn, Michael and Zhaydian, her great great grandchildren, Amarii, Analeeah, Josias, two sisters, Jane Perez and Rosie (Carlos) Torres, three brothers, Joe (Carmen) Salazar, John (Lucy) Salazar, Lee (Gale) Salazar and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Guadalupe, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse Salazar, Rudy Salazar and Lupe Salazar and one sister, Mary Flores.  A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 415 Ormsby St Adrian, MI. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Prayer at 7:00 PM at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.
