Leon K. Jenkins

Leon  K.  Jenkins. age 75, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 25, 2015, at U of M Hospital.  He was born October 4, 1939, to Kenneth H. & Martha (Dean) Jenkins.  Leon graduated from Adrian High School, Class of 1959.  After graduation, he worked as a butcher for Ford's Market and A & P Grocery both in Adrian, MI.  He then furthered his education by earning an Associate in skilled trades as a toolmaker from JCC.  Leon worked for Peerless Gear for close to 40 years as a journeyman toolmaker before they closed in 1993.  He then went to work for Teleflex in Lyons, OH where he retired.  He is survived by his three daughters, Suzanne Schafer, Sheryl Jenkins and Sara Lewis and three grandchildren, Alyssa Rosser, Mason Schafer and Emily Schafer.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Leon was a devoted Detroit Tiger fan, loved listening to talk radio, riding his motorcycle in the summer, eating at the Tip Top Restaurant in Adrian and enjoying his girls and grandchildren.  Per Leon's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2015, at J.
