Kenneth R. Papenhagen Sr.

Kenneth R. Papenhagen, Sr., age 69, of Britton,  passed away July 26, 2016. Kenneth was born September 11, 1946 in Adrian, Michigan the son of Clyde and Hilda (Brenke) Papenhagen.  On April 22, 1967 he married Mary Saxon in Riga.  He was a 1964 graduate of Blissfield High School.  Kenneth served his country in the National Guard out of the Adrian Armory.  He retired  from Ford Motor Company, Saline in 1998 after 30 years of service.  After retiring, he was active in and served as president of the UAW Local #892 retirees chapter. Kenneth enjoyed spending time in his garden, being a grandfather, playing cards at the Dundee Senior Center and serving his local church. Surviving Kenneth are his wife, Mary of 49 years; children, Kenneth Rodger (Laura) Papenhagen and Melissa (Mark Sexton) Papenhagen; grandsons, Joshua and Nicholas; sister, Yvonne (Bob) Stone and other  numerous loved ones.He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, August 1, 2016 at the  Dundee Community Church of the Nazarene.  Visitation will be 10:00 A. M., one hour preceding the service.
